NEW CLIENTS: We are accepting new clients! For the first available appointment, click on “New Client - Initial Assessment.” To see a specific physiotherapist, click their name first, then select the appointment type.

DIRECT BILLING: We do offer direct billing to most major insurance providers, including ICBC.

WAITLIST: You can add yourself to a therapist’s waitlist by clicking their name and the link under the schedule. We’ll contact you if an earlier slot opens!

DIRECTIONS: If you’re driving, you can enter our building’s parking lot through Barlee Road. You can access our clinic directly from the parking lot (NOT through the main lobby of the InVue building).

PARKING: Free parking is available to our clients in “Commercial Client” or “Visitor” Parking Stalls in the InVue building’s outdoor parking lot. There is also free street parking on Barlee Road.

CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes. Patients providing less than 24 hours notice will incur a $50 cancellation fee charged to their credit card on file.

Jean-Francois (JF) Esculier graduated from the University of Ottawa’s physiotherapy program in 2009. Since then, he has been treating runners of all levels (recreational to professional and Olympic athletes) and people with a variety of sports injuries.

Being a clinician-researcher-educator and a runner helps him to provide the best care possible based on the latest science. JF completed his Masters, PhD and post-doctoral fellowship on knee pain in runners, and obtained his Certificate of Sport Physiotherapy. His special interest areas include knee pain (patellofemoral pain, knee osteoarthritis), running biomechanics and running footwear.

JF is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia, and the Past President of the BC Sport & Exercise Medicine Research Foundation. JF has published over 55 research articles in scientific journals. He is frequently invited to teach and provide lectures at scientific conferences around the world.

Bea loves empowering people of all ages and abilities to manage their musculoskeletal injuries or chronic conditions through a healthy and active lifestyle! She completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology while playing for the University of British Columbia (UBC) Varsity and Canadian National field hockey teams. She then went on to complete a research-based Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences (neuroscience and motor learning) as well as a clinical Master’s of Physical Therapy at UBC.

Combining her unique backgrounds in high performance sport, rehabilitation research and clinical experience, she aims to “act as a coach” by guiding you on your rehabilitation journey using up to date, science-based treatment approaches.

Bea is particularly interested in women’s health and has taken extra training in pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum conditions, assessing and treating runners, and treating the female athlete.

Kaz (he/him) is a Canadian trained physiotherapist who was born and raised in Japan. Through his competitive soccer career, degree in Physical Education and business experience connecting with others, Kaz developed a keen interest in health care and helping people achieve an optimal lifestyle.

Expanding on his interest, he moved to Canada in 2009 to pursue his journey of becoming a physiotherapist in Canada.

As a physiotherapist, Kaz has experience working in both hospital and clinical settings and he is interested in supporting people with:

  • Running Injuries

  • Chronic (persistent) pain - Low back pain - Neck and shoulder pain

Kaz has additional training in Cognitive Functional Therapy and Pain Reprocessing Therapy. He is actively involved in the BC Adaptive Mentorship Network (BCAMN) for Pain, Mental Health and Substance Use organized by Pain BC.

He also loves teaching and connecting with others, and as a passion project, he organizes and teaches The Running Clinic courses about running injury prevention and treatment to healthcare professionals in Japan. He is also an ultra-trail runner and enjoys leading MoveMed’s Trail Running Clinics.

When he is not at work, he enjoys running on the beautiful trails in the Okanagan and spending time with his wife and two young children.

Sydney’s aim is to help her patients feel strong, confident, and capable in the activities they love. Her treatment philosophy focuses on long-term injury management, guiding patients not only in feeling better but in understanding their bodies and preventing future setbacks. She uses a combination of techniques including education, targeted exercise prescription, manual therapy (hands on treatment) and dry needling/IMS to help her patients feel better and be more active.

Sydney completed both her BSc in Kinesiology (with Distinction) and MSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta before relocating to her husband’s home town of Kelowna. Rob is thankful to have grown up in Kelowna and have had the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of athletics such as hockey, skiing, golfing, soccer, and martial arts to name a few. He discovered his passion for health and movement playing competitive rugby for the KSS Owls. While completing his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics at UBCO, Rob developed a special interest in strength and conditioning. He became a certified trainer and had the unique opportunity to train a diverse range of people from aspiring young athletes to Olympians. Following his years coaching, he attended UBC and completed his clinical Master’s degree in Physical Therapy.

During his time as a coach, Rob became interested in the world of strength sports and has competed in multiple powerlifting competitions. While competing, he suffered many injuries which further highlighted the benefits of physiotherapy and how helpful it can be both mentally and physically. After resolving his injuries and continuing his own training, he has more insight into the tumultuous journey people experience when they have setbacks and are unable to do what they love.

In addition to his sporting background, Rob is dedicated to reviewing research and learning the most-up-to date science to best help you navigate your unique journey to your best life.
